So, when I finally got round to thinking about making one, the first thing I did was get onto Google to look for instructions, and I was disappointed to find that there was nothing really available...
I therefore made my own sculpture with quite a bit of difficulty and then put together a “how to” ebook followed by a short course.
In this course, we will create a fun lady sculpture inspired by Niki de Saint Phalle's iconic nana sculptures. You'll learn to model a sculpture using papier mache (paper strips and paper clay), an eco-friendly and affordable medium. The course guides you step by step, from creating the structure and volumes to the final details. We'll cover the basics of papier mâché, including making a stand and armature, mixing paste, and applying layers. By the end, you'll have your own playful sculpture and embrace upcycling.
